Since the game's release in fall of 2010, "Metroid: Other M" has been panned by critics and gamers as the single worst game in the treasured "Metroid" saga. Its juvenile story, repetitive gameplay, and unimaginative level design left fans with a bitter taste in their mouth. Despite the considerable flaws, one too severely overlooked is the grating musical score. "Metroid" as a series established a sound and feel within its musical compositions which created a living, breathing world; "Metroid: Other M" created a dying, choking world.

Drawing influence from such synthpop artists as Koto and The System, while also referencing classic tracks from the "Metroid" series, Chip Roberts, in all of his defiance, set forth to fix this abortion of a soundtrack with a complete overhaul of the game's "music." Gone are the sonically soporific and ambiently masturbatory soundscapes of the original "Other M." In their place is a mix of vintage synthesizers, heavily produced electronic drums, and instruments pulled directly from "Super Metroid's" iconic soundtrack.

This is meant as a replacement for "Other M's" score, and Chip Roberts encourages his listeners to play the game on mute with these tracks on their stereo. Experience what a difference a competent and fitting musical score can make on an otherwise mediocre video game.
